Term Limit:
The combined time as a Student member and/or Graduate Student member is limited to six years.
Transitions After Membership:
Graduation with a Degree in an AICRF-designated field: Automatic upgrade to Member grade.
Graduation with a Degree outside of an AICRF-designated field: Transferred to Associate member grade.
Reaching the six-year limit:
With a degree in an AICRF-designated field: Eligible to apply for Member grade (application required).
Without a degree in an AICRF-designated field: Transferred to Associate member grade.

Education + Experience: Hold a three- to five-year university-level or higher degree from an accredited institution (any field) and have at least three years of professional work experience in areas relevant to AICRF's mission (e.g., teaching, creating, developing, practicing, or managing). Extensive Experience: Demonstrate at least six years of professional work experience showcasing competence in areas relevant to AICRF's mission (teaching, creating, developing, practicing, or managing).

Be an engineer, scientist, educator, technical executive, or originator in fields relevant to AICRF's mission. Fulfill the following minimum requirements:
At least ten years of professional practice in relevant fields.
Significant performance over at least five of those years, demonstrated by one or more of the following:
Substantial responsibility and achievements in AICRF-designated fields.
Publication of significant works (papers, books, or contributions) in relevant fields.
Leadership and successful management of important projects with a demonstrable impact.
Recognized contributions that have significantly advanced the field(s) relevant to AICRF.
Development or significant improvement of courses in relevant fields at accredited institutions.
Other contributions equivalent to the above, demonstrably advancing progress in AICRF's fields.

Nominations for Fellow Member grade can be submitted by AICRF members.
A rigorous review process should be conducted by a committee of existing Fellows or a designated AICRF body.

After continuously fulfilling membership dues obligations for twelve years, members in good standing can transition to Life Membership. Life Membership provides a permanent membership status within your current membership category (e.g., Member, Senior Member, Fellow), waiving future membership dues. This allows continued engagement with AICRF's benefits and the opportunity to contribute to the organization's mission for life.
